Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group in Lexington is seeking a Sales and Catering Coordinator to provide administrative and sales support to the hotel's Sales and Catering teams. You will coordinate group bookings, prepare proposals and contracts, manage event details, and ensure accurate records in PMS and systems.

The successful candidate will help maximize guest satisfaction, support revenue growth, and ensure events are executed seamlessly from inquiry to completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Experience in hotel sales, catering or event coordination preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational and detail orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with hotel PMS or S&C software preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to sales inquiries via phone, email, or requests.
• Prepare sales proposals, contracts, room block agreements, and event estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and business.
• Coordinate event details, BEOs, resumes, and function sheets.
• Communicate event requirements to departments and ensure readiness.
• Work with Food & Beverage, Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure event readiness.
• Assist clients with menu selections, room arrangements, and schedules.
• Assist with post-event follow-up and documentation.
• Identify upsell opportunities for packages, space, and services.
