Tandem Hospitality Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive local, corporate and social catering. You will solicit, propose and close events, coordinating with hotel departments to ensure flawless execution.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in hotel sales/catering, strong selling, negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple events with keen attention to detail. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hotel sales/catering experience.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure.
• Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills.
• Requires knowledge of intermediate sales techniques.
• Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Solicitation, prospecting, and direct selling in the local, Corporate and Social Catering market.
• Discuss event details with planner including room setup, F&B, and AV; communicate via catering/meeting banquet orders.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and client-requested documents.
• Plan and detail events for booked functions.
• Be on-site contact for group and standalone events.
• Communicate on-site event details to hotel departments via BEO meetings and emails.
• Network at events to establish new relationships in the community.
• Maximize catering and banquet revenues while protecting check averages.
• Close contracts and manage client expectations for catered functions.
• Provide clear distribution of client expectations to F&B departments.
• Double-check function arrangements against client specs.
