Job summary

The LINE hotels are seeking a dynamic Banquets Manager for the Austin area. The role oversees daily events operations, including staffing, quality control, coordination with kitchen, and guest satisfaction across banquet functions.

A successful candidate will manage staff, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional service while ensuring cost controls and adherence to LINE policies and budget parameters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 1 year event experience
• Strong ability in using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and F&B software systems
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Team player
• Work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
• Holds pre-function briefing to determine specifications of each function
• Ensure proper room set up according to BEO and client requests
• Ensure quality service by assigning staff to work stations
• Coordinate with kitchen to ensure timing of food presentation and delivery
• Manage and schedule banquet personnel to ensure efficient operation
• Interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing staff
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA requirements
• Maintain open communication with employees
