Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a part-time Banquet Set-Up Assistant to support event operations at The Barn. You will help with setup and teardown, arrange tables and chairs, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for guests. This role requires physical activity, reliability, and strong customer service skills.

Hours average 15–20 per week with shifts that vary by scheduled events. A high school diploma is required, and prior banquet setup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of event facilities (tables, chairs, furniture).
• Move and arrange equipment; lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Refresh and tidy function areas during events; restock restrooms.
• Assist with vendor and consultant relationships and deliveries.
• Inspect and report maintenance issues and follow management instructions.
