Job summary

Encore is seeking an Event Technology Intern to assist with the setup and operation of audiovisual systems for live events at hotel/convention venues in the Orlando area. You will learn in-field technical and sales support while ensuring client satisfaction and smooth event execution.

You will handle equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, on-site client communication, and coordination with staff and vendors. The role offers exposure to event operations in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BA/BS degree in relevant field (hospitality, business, media production, or related).
• 0–6 months of AV or customer service experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest in new technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at a hotel location within the metro area.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic AV equipment to ensure flawless events.
• Provide outstanding on-site customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Complete systems entry and paperwork accurately; use Navigator to enter orders as needed.
• Assist in up-selling and finalizing invoices with clients.
