Job summary

University of North Carolina School of the Arts is seeking staff to physically set up meeting and event spaces, and to perform related cleaning and housekeeping tasks on and off campus.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, early morning hours with occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. The role involves moving furniture, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining safe work practices in a large university setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum: knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to follow instructions; capable of medium to heavy physical work.
• Preferred: 6 months of cleaning/event set up experience; valid NCDL; basic supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting and event spaces with tables, chairs and equipment as required.
• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in dormitories, offices and other state buildings.
• Follow daily schedules and report safety or maintenance issues to supervisor.
