The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Carolina Union is seeking an Event Specialist for Event Services. This position supports events and conferences, handling lighting, audio, and projection gear across two venues and 26 meeting rooms, while guiding student staff and collaborating with Event Managers.

Strong customer service and event production knowledge are essential, with preference for candidate with higher education experience and familiarity with 25Live and Microsoft 365

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in 3–5 years of professional event support, preferably in a higher education setting is preferred.
• Proficiency with 25Live, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide high level customer service to events and conferences throughout the year.
• Assist in maintenance, inventory, and delivery of lighting, audio, and projection equipment for venues and meeting rooms.
• Support supervision and training of student event staff and coordinate with Event Managers.
• Communicate event needs and production updates using the 25Live scheduling platform and email.
