Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Event Specialist – Event Services to support events and conferences across the Carolina Union. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and coordinating lighting, audio, and projection equipment for two venues, multiple meeting rooms, and off-site programs.

You will work with Event Managers, supervise student staff, and use 25Live and Microsoft 365 apps to schedule and update event details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 3–5 years of professional event support, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Experience with 25Live or similar event management software.

• Provide high levels of customer service for events and conferences.
• Assist in maintaining and delivering lighting, audio, and projection equipment for venues and rooms.
• Coordinate with Event Managers and supervise/train student event staff.
