Job summary

The Event Crew at Biltmore will support setup and strike for weddings, functions, and special events. You will drive company vehicles to deliver, pickup, and install smaller items with minimal supervision, reporting to Event Operations Supervisors/Managers.

Responsibilities include operating a box truck safely, loading equipment, rigging under 25 lbs, and connecting power up to 20 amps. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of prior experience with event setup and logistics preferred.
• Strong guest service orientation.
• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task.
• Ability to take direction and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive and exercises good judgment in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate a box truck safely and professionally.
• Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guests.
• Load and unload tables, chairs, and event rentals.
• Set up rental equipment and test quality on arrival; follow pull sheets and directions.
• Rig smaller decor items (≤25 lbs) as required.
• Run and connect power up to 20 amps as needed.
• Install express/high peak tents without supervision; support larger installations.
• Safely operate a warehouse forklift.
