Job summary

The Event Work Crew 2 at the Biltmore estate assists with setup, strike, and support for weddings, functions, and other events, reporting to the Event Operations Supervisors.

Team members may drive company vehicles and handle delivery/pickup of small orders, while providing general support to Events crews and Engineering Services on projects as needed. The role requires excellent guest service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least one year of event setup and logistics experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
• Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Responsibilities

• Efficient and safe set up, maintenance, and break down of events equipment to include staging, seating, tents, sound equipment, lighting, etc.
• Maintenance and cleaning of restrooms and other locations related to events as assigned.
• Provides support to Group Sales, Catering & Conference Services, Entertainment and Event Programming, et.al. related to event logistics.
• General warehouse work such as organizing, loading/unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, etc.
• Driving a company vehicle, able to complete smaller task and/or orders with minimal supervision.
