Job summary

The Biltmore Company in Asheville is seeking an Event Crew II to support setup, strike, and operations for weddings, events, and functions. You will drive company vehicles for delivery, unpack and install rental items, and assist the team with safety and quality checks.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in event logistics, and a strong guest-service mindset; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of prior event setup and logistics experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
• Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
• Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
• Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
• Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely operate a box truck.
• Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guests.
• Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.
• Set up rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival.
• Rig items up to 25 lbs such as chandeliers and decor.
• Run and connect power requirements up to 20 amps.
• Complete installation of express/high peak tents without supervision; assist larger installations.
• Safely operate a warehouse forklift.
• Follow directions from pull sheets, emails, or calls.
