Job summary

Mt. Prospect Park District is seeking a part-time Rental Attendant to manage Friendship Park Conservatory rentals, including weddings and private events. The role involves setup of tables, chairs, and rentals, plus customer service and event coordination in a busy community facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be a high school graduate, college student or college graduate, with a minimum of two years of experience in recreation, facility management, customer service and/or hospitality management.
• Must become B.A.S.S.E.T certified within 7 days of hire and must maintain certification.
• Must have AED/CPR certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
• Must be able to organize rentals and purchases and handle multiple projects.
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be reliable with attendance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and oversee rental events in the Friendship Park Conservatory and outdoor spaces.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain professional relations with patrons.
• Oversee rental events, setup, take down, and keep areas clean during and after events.
• Maintain detailed records for all events, activities, and status.
• Adhere to liquor laws and obtain BASSET and AED/CPR certifications as required.
• Coordinate with the Rental and Event Planner for supplies and maintenance.
