Job summary

The Buffalo Grove Park District is seeking a part-time Rental Attendant to provide on-site support during Special Event bookings or Amphitheater rentals. The role includes guest assistance, space setup, and enforcing facility rules.

Education: High School Diploma; event planning experience preferred. Salary ranges from $17 to $22 per hour depending on qualifications, with a fitness center membership benefit for 8+ hour workweeks.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning/coordination preferred.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Secure District facilities upon opening or closing.
• Remain on-site during rental events as the primary contact for renters.
• Enforce rules and proper usage of facilities.
• Greet all visitors courteously, attend to their needs, and provide information.
• Perform basic custodial duties to maintain rental/program space and bathrooms.
• Perform setup of rental space, including tables and chairs.
• Check and restock supplies, including bathrooms and first aid kits.
• Ensure all trash is in the correct receptacles at the end of the rental.
• Complete the facility checklist to determine if the deposit should be returned.
• Notify the Supervisor immediately if there is a concern affecting the facility or next rental.
• Complete Incident/Accident Reports as needed.
• Know and follow emergency action procedures; assist others in emergencies.
• Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.
