Job summary

Bgparks is seeking a part-time Rental Attendant in Buffalo Grove to assist with Special Event and Amphitheater bookings. The role requires on-site presence, coordination of rentals, setup of spaces, and ensuring safety and cleanliness for guests.

You will greet visitors, enforce rules, and serve as the primary contact during events, handling questions and coordinating with staff as needed. A high school diploma is required, with experience in event operations preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in event planning, coordination, or special event operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure facilities on opening/closing (lights, doors, gates).
• Stay on-site as primary renter contact and address questions promptly.
• Enforce rules and proper facility usage.
• Greet visitors and provide information.
• Perform basic custodial duties for spaces and bathrooms.
• Set up rental spaces (tables and chairs) per floor plan.
• Check and restock supplies (bathrooms, first aid).
• Ensure trash is properly sorted and disposed.
• Complete facility checklist to determine deposit return.
• Notify supervisor of issues affecting next rental.
• Complete incident/accident reports as needed.
• Know and follow emergency procedures; assist during emergencies.
• Perform other park district duties as assigned.
