Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Event Operations Manager will join the Operations Team and be solely responsible for the logistics of approximately 7-9 (size-dependent) events in the US, Mexico and Canada per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-event correspondence with delegates and sponsors.
  • Managing outgoing expenditure and maintaining accurate budgets.
  • Negotiating, liaising and managing relationships with event venues and suppliers.
  • Creating and designing event signage and exhibition floor plans.
  • Sourcing branded items – lanyards, sponsorship inventory etc.
  • Managing dinners, drinks receptions and bespoke networking events.
  • Booking staff travel and accommodation.
  • Managing onsite event teams and event registration.
  • Organising onsite meetings between attendees and sponsors

Qualities, Characteristics, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task whilst maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers & clients.
  • Good at working and communicating with colleagues on an individual and team level.
  • Proficient at cost management and forecasting.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in the coordination of b2b events for 150+ people.
  • Experience in managing exhibitions/sponsors.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Travel + Working Hours

This is a work from home role. Candidates will be expected to travel to their events in the US, Mexico and Canada. Travel costs will be covered & per diems provided.

  • Working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm ET from a location that provides an environment that allows employees to meet the requirements of their role.
  • A company issued laptop will be provided.
  • 35% of monthly internet bills are eligible for reimbursement.

Health Insurance

Health insurance commences 2 months after commencement date. This contribution is via payroll deduction, on a pre-tax basis.

The client has a 401(K) plan.

Vacation:

  • The client offers 15 working days’ vacation per year plus Federal public holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Day.
