Qualifications

The Occupational Accident Profit Center is part of the Specialty Business Unit (SBU) within A&H and writes the following lines of business: Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability and Employers Liability, Non-Trucking Liability, and Physical Damage for Independent Contractors with ancillary Workers’ Compensation for employees. The target markets are the trucking industry and the Gig Economy.

This position will be responsible for supporting the underwriting team through the rating process and computing premiums for commercial lines policies written within the group. This role will provide the critical knowledge for commercial lines rating, policy creation, and issuance.

This position will be responsible for providing support to the underwriters through the rating and computing of premiums on policies and endorsements. Which will include the preparation for policy writing and statistical information for coding. In addition, this individual will support the implementation of new and renewal business for the team while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.

What you will do for C&F:

  • Perform Workers’ Compensation and Commercial Auto rating and supporting functions
  • Commercial Auto Endorsement Quality Control
  • Rate and compute premium on quotes, polices and endorsements
  • Work in State Rating Bureaus to check for policy accuracy and completion
  • Process cancellations & non renewals in systems and rating bureaus
  • Work on renewal business, full workflow: rating, quoting, binding, booking
  • Work closely with the Underwriting team on new and renewal business
  • Handle ad-hoc projects per manager request
  • Communicate internally and Externally with Agents and Brokers

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 2 to 4 years’ of equivalent work experience or completion of an internship preferred
  • Commercial Lines Rating Experience preferred: WC, NTL, PD, Auto, GL, Pkg, Admitted & Non Admitted
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong demonstration of problem solving and analytical skills

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $34,400.00 to a maximum of $64,600.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
