Job summary

Walters Wedding Estates is seeking an Event Manager to support the food and beverage team during events. You will assist with hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff, ensuring correct clock-in processes and high service standards to drive exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead setup/breakdown per BEO, maintain cleanliness, and coordinate supplies and deliveries. A Texas TX license (TABC and Food Handler) is required, with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• College degree or applicable work history required; TX licenses (TABC and Food Handlers) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring and training banquet staff.

Event ManagerWalters Wedding EstatesStep into the exciting world of event management as an Event Manager, where you'll be at the forefront of our food and beverage team during events. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.What You’ll Do:Assist with the hiring and training of banquet employees, including Bartenders, Servers, and Dishwashers.Ensure all banquet staff conduct clock-in and clock-out procedures.Assist with scheduling hourly staff for events at your venue location while maintaining the proper level of staffing.Ensure 5-star reviews by executing BEOs and delivering exceptional customer service.Follow all safe food handling guidelines.Nurture and develop employees through training, coaching, and providing constructive feedback during events.Spearhead Food and Beverage and back-of-house operations during events.Lead the set-up and breakdown of all event spaces according to the outlined BEO.Maintain venue cleanliness pre- and post-events.May assist with procuring and ordering event and venue-specific supplies, including alcohol, and ensuring timely delivery and quality control.Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures consistently.Qualifications:Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferredEducation: College Degree or Applicable Work History, TABC and Food Handlers license required in TexasPhysical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hoursOther:Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-VerifySubmit/complete background check; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportationCompensation & Schedule:Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take placeMust be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, and late nightsHourly: $17 - $19 per hour, based on experience401k with 4% MatchIf you’re ready to turn dreams into reality and drive unforgettable celebrations, we’d love to hear from you!
