Job summary

Walters Hospitality is seeking an Event Manager to lead the food and beverage team during events, drive guest satisfaction, and oversee back-of-house operations. The role reports to the Operations Manager and involves staffing, training, and coordinating event logistics at the venue.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a similar role, a college degree or relevant work history, and must hold a Texas license (TABC and Food Handlers).

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferred.
• Education: College Degree or Applicable Work History, TABC and Food Handlers license required in Texas.
• Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand 8–12 hours.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; E-Verify participation.
• Background check required; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the hiring and training of banquet employees, including Bartenders, Servers, and Dishwashers.
• Schedule hourly staff for events at the venue while maintaining proper staffing levels.
• Lead the set-up and breakdown of all event spaces according to the BEO.
• Maintain venue cleanliness pre- and post-events.
• Nurture and develop employees through training, coaching, and feedback.
• Spearhead Food and Beverage and back-of-house operations during events.
• Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures.
