Job summary

Oak View Group in Miami Beach is seeking an Event Manager to lead planning and execution for the MBCC and campus events. You will liaison between clients, MBCC teams, contract partners, GMCVB, and other stakeholders ensuring flawless experiences and hospitality excellence.

The role drives sustainability, revenue growth, and continuous improvements, with a focus on detailed planning, safety, and guest service across the full event lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in event or convention services, hospitality, or related industry.
• Experience in convention centers, hotels with meeting spaces, or multi-use venues.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• CMP, CSEP, or PMP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for MBCC and MBCC Campus events.
• Coordinate pre-planning site visits with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-con and post-event debriefs to align objectives and logistics.
• Interpret and enforce Event License Agreements and venue policies.
• Identify upsell opportunities (F&B, AV, IT/tech, Digital, branding) to grow revenue.
• Maintain onsite presence to ensure smooth communications and safety.
• Collaborate with exclusive Food & Beverage provider and review BEOs.
• Lead cross‑functional meetings to ensure flawless event execution.
