Job summary

HM Hospitality Consultants is seeking an Event Manager in the South Bay to lead planning from sales concepts to real events. You will coordinate weddings, social and corporate events, partnering with culinary and operations teams to deliver flawless experiences.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, calm under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment with strong client communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in event management, wedding planning, catering, conference services, or hospitality events.
• Experience planning weddings and social events within hotel/venue settings is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process.
• Build relationships with couples, families, corporate clients, planners and hosts.
• Guide clients through event details, timelines, food/beverage selections and layouts.
• Coordinate weddings, social, corporate events, meetings and private events.
• Maintain detailed event information and ensure timely communication across departments.
• Partner with culinary, banquet, operations and sales teams for seamless execution.
• Conduct planning meetings, site visits, tastings and final walkthroughs as needed.
• Anticipate client needs and address challenges proactively.
• Manage multiple events and timelines with strong attention to detail.
• Ensure accurate communication and flawless execution of event plans.
• Maintain polished and responsive client communication.
• Identify opportunities to enhance guest experiences and referrals.
