Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced Event Manager for Boston Marriott Newton in Newton, MA. You will represent the company to clients and lead the planning and execution of group catering and events with attention to detail and service excellence.

You should have schooling in hotel/restaurant management or related discipline and at least two years of experience in a high-volume environment. Marriott Systems familiarity is a plus, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Education in hotel/restaurant management or related major.
• Two+ years of related experience in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and Marriott Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to customers and supervise planning for group catering and events.
• Prepare event documentation and coordinate with Sales and hotel departments for high-level service.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales.
• Maximize revenue through upselling and service enhancements.
• Address customer needs and maintain strong client relationships.
• Report maintenance issues to Engineering and manage inventory and supplies.
• Respond to guest requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
