Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an Event Manager at Boston Marriott Newton in Newton, MA. You will coordinate and supervise group catering and events, ensuring seamless pre-, during-, and post-event service across departments.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in a high-volume environment, a background in hotel/restaurant management, and familiarity with Marriott systems, to deliver outstanding guest experiences and up-sell where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in a high volume environment.
• Education in hotel/restaurant management or related major.
• Familiarity with Marriott Systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise group catering and events, including BEO, setup, and F&B.
• Prepare event documentation and coordinate with Sales and hotel departments for high-level service.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales.
• Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and enhancements.
• Provide customer-focused service and maintain relationships with clients.
• Be adaptable and find creative solutions to challenges that arise during events.
• Maintain communication with Engineering for maintenance issues and manage inventory.
