Job summary

Boston Marriott Newton, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks an Event Manager to lead planning and execution of group catering and events. You will oversee BEO creation, room setups, AV, and billing while coordinating with Sales and hotel departments to deliver exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have education in hotel/restaurant management and 2+ years in a high-volume setting, with familiarity of Marriott Systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Education in hotel/restaurant management or a related major.
• Two+ years of related experience in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with Marriott Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to customers and supervise coordination for group catering and events.
• Prepare banquet event orders, room set-ups, F&B, AV, deposits, billing, and payments.
• Coordinate with Sales and hotel departments to ensure high-level service from pre-event to post-event.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales, maximizing revenue through up-selling.
• Maintain strong customer focus and respond to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
