Pyramid Global Hospitality is recruiting for roles at Boston Marriott Newton, a premier property within the Pyramid portfolio. The hotel offers 430 rooms and extensive meeting space, with opportunities across guest services, food & beverage, housekeeping, sales and marketing.

Qualifications

• Education in hotel/restaurant management or related major.
• Two or more years of related experience in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and Marriott Systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise group catering and events, including BEO, setup, AV, deposits, billing and payments in accordance with policies.
• Prepare event documentation and coordinate with Sales and hotel departments to ensure high-level service from pre-event to post-event.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales.
• Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to events.
• Possess strong customer focus to develop and sustain productive relationships; address customer needs.
• Develop creative solutions and adapt to changes in work tasks or environment.
• Report maintenance issues to Engineering and manage inventory as assigned.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns to ensure satisfaction.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

• Perform and supervise preparation for group catering and events including completion of Banquet Event Order (BEO), meeting room set up specifications, banquet food and beverage, audio visual, program details, attrition, deposits, billing details and collection of payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions and accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with Sales, hotel departments and customer to ensure consistent, high‑level service throughout the pre‑event, event and post‑event phases of hotel events.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service and then back to sales.
• Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up‑selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
• Has knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Skilled originality and has the ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about products, services or situations or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
• Practices being adaptable and have the ability to effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
• Possess a strong customer focus to develop and sustain productive customer relationships; actively seeks information to understand and address customer needs.
• Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering through proper channels.
• Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory as assigned.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.

What are we looking for?

• Education plus schooling in hotel/restaurant management or related major.
• Two or more years of related experience in a high volume environment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and Marriott Systems preferred.

Compensation:

$70,000

-$75,000
