Job summary

Michaels Stores in Littleton, CO is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events including children’s birthday parties and crafts. You will assist customers, manage checkout, and support store operations to ensure a smooth guest experience.

You will engage with guests of all ages, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards when appropriate, and help maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the store.

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; creative problem-solving.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within the Michaels store, including kids birthday parties and craft classes.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and help customers shop and find products.
• Assist with checkout, truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes to support operations.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls as needed.
• Set up, run, and clean up events; ensure store cleanliness and safety during activities.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production; participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
