Michaels in Castle Rock, CO is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate andfacilitate kids’ birthday parties and in-store events to deliver a fun and engaging experience for guests. You will provide friendly customer service, help shoppers, and maintain fast checkouts while supporting store operations.

Ideal candidates have experience with children’s events, strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for retail customer service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
