Job summary

Michaels LA-BREA store is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events including kids’ birthday parties. You will engage customers of all ages, demonstrate crafts, and manage add-ons while maintaining store standards.

The role supports a fast-paced retail environment with focus on guest experience and safety, and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal.
• Must have organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Retail and/or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events including children's birthday parties in the Michaels store.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun and creative environment.
• Instruct participants in craft projects and perform face painting during events.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist with store operations and customer service tasks as needed.
