Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Events Coordinator at our store near Lakewood/Wadsworth in Colorado. You will plan and coordinate multiple events, including children’s birthdays, and engage customers across all ages to deliver a fun, creative experience.

You’ll assist with face painting, party add-ons, and customer enrollments in rewards programs, while supporting daily store operations, from stocking to checkout. This role requires energy, strong people skills, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Retail experience required.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in the store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants, perform face painting and activities.
• Handle checkouts and provide fast, friendly service; support stock and store tasks as needed.
