Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking Guest Services Staff for the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The part-time role pays $14 per hour and focuses on delivering outstanding customer service to event attendees.

You will welcome guests, assist with event setup, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Requires 18+ years, HS diploma, and strong communication skills. Prior customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or event-related roles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist event attendees with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Assist with event setup and crowd management tasks.
• Monitor areas for cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Provide information about the event, facilities and amenities.
• Direct guests to seating, restrooms, concessions and exits.
• Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Support crowd management to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Adhere to company policies and deliver high service standards.
