Job summary

Main Event in Olathe, KS is seeking an Event Coordinator to help guests plan memorable birthday and event experiences, while upholding safety and sanitation standards. You will welcome Guests, learn event packages, sell and coordinate corporate, group, and birthday events, and input sales data into company systems.

The role emphasizes guest focus, teamwork, relationship building, and proficiency in Excel, Office, and CRM; availability for variable shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior food & beverage or retail experience; sales experience a plus.
• Guest focused mindset (We heart our Guests!).
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!).
• Relationship building (very important!).
• Proficient in software such as Excel, Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests.
• Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Upholding cleanliness and safety standards.
• Welcoming and engaging with all Guests, ambassador of FUN.
• Understanding all event packages and add-ons.
• Selling, scheduling and coordinating corporate, group, and birthday events.
• Inputting sales revenue and guest information in systems; creating follow-up tasks.
• Partnering with Sales Manager to exceed budgeted event sales targets.
• Prospecting and cold calling to develop new and repeat business.
• Supporting local store marketing initiatives to drive walk-in and event sales.
• Attending weekly sales meetings to share ideas that support the business.
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties.
