Job summary

Fooda is seeking a friendly, tech-savvy part-time events assistant to join our on-site team. You will help set up and tear down event spaces, ensure high-quality customer experiences, and occasionally back up Fooda Cafés as a cashier.

You’ll also coordinate restaurant access and troubleshoot POS and TV menu boards, all while delivering excellent service to guests. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service roles preferred.
• Comfortable with technology in a fast-paced setting.
• Part-time availability around 27.5 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation to travel to sites.
• Catering or serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site with setup, tear down, cleaning equipment and site areas.
• Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés as needed.
• Coordinate access for restaurants to buildings and events.
• Troubleshoot POS and onsite technology issues (TV menu boards).
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching.
• Provide real-time customer service and resolve issues with guests.

Who We Are:

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited,and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit.

Powered by technology and a network of 3,500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday- Saturday (10am – 2pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (about 27.5hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
