Job summary

Fooda is seeking a friendly, high-energy part-time team member to support on-site food events. You will help set up and tear down popup restaurants, assist as a back-up cashier, and work to ensure smooth access for restaurants and teams inside buildings.

You’ll gain competency with Fooda technology, handle order issues, coach users on the mobile app, and provide real-time customer service to resolve problems quickly. Flexibility for 8am–4pm shifts may be required depending on market.

Qualifications

• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas onsite; ensure high-quality setup and customer experience.
• Back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who are off.
• Coordinate access to buildings for restaurants and teams.
• Troubleshoot issues with POS systems and onsite technology.
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and app coaching for customers.
• Provide real-time customer service to resolve issues with consumers.
• Audit restaurant event setups for consistency and quality.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when needed.
• Hours primarily during lunch (10am–2pm) with potential 8am–4pm shifts depending on market.

Who We Are:
Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food. It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something.
Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly.
Powered by technology and a network of 3,500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are over lunch Monday- Friday (10am – 2pm) but responsibilities may span 8am-4pm, depending on the market and need

• You are organized and detail oriented. Type-A personality is a plus!
• You’re someone who knows the local territory and gets around efficiently in your own car
• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (about 27.5hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
