Job summary

Fooda is seeking a part-time Event Coordinator in Hawthorne, CA to join our network of on-site restaurant partners. You’ll help set up and tear down events, assist as a back-up cashier, and ensure a high-quality guest experience in a fast-paced food program environment.

Ideal candidates have hospitality or events experience, strong customer service skills, and are comfortable with Fooda technology. It’s a 27-hour-per-week role with competitive pay of $22–$25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down events, ensuring high-quality setup and customer experience.
• Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés when needed.
• Coordinate restaurant access to the building.
• Learn Fooda technology and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot orders, deliveries and communications.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues.
• Audit restaurant event setup for consistency.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary.

Fooda is currentlyrecruiting for a part timeEvent Coordinator in ourHawthorne market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours are Monday - Friday (4pm – 9:30pm) 27hours per week

• You’re looking for a steady part-time job (27 hours per week) during regular business hours and value flexibility
• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
