Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a guest services/meeting concierge to support in-house group guests and meeting planners. You will respond to inquiries, share information about events, and help coordinate daily operations.

The role requires excellent communication, a professional appearance, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will use hotel systems to relay reader board details, event schedules, and VIP arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar hotel position preferred.
• Delphi or equivalent training may be required.
• Maintain a professional business appearance and attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource/advocate for meeting planners and in-house guests.
• Direct guests to meeting rooms and provide information in person.
• Be alert and attentive to guests' needs at all times.
• Present a friendly attitude and be knowledgeable and helpful.
• Utilize information from reader boards, event sheets, resumes, BEOs and diagrams daily.
• Understand confidential group information and pricing details.
• Respond promptly to guest and planner needs.
• Follow up after interactions to ensure resolution.
• Communicate information to hotel departments via Nextel, email or phone.
• Provide daily recap reports on guest service issues.
• Inform guests about services and meeting room benefits (Wi-Fi, cyber café, business center).
• Know hotel location relative to attractions and provide directions.
• Encourage reservations and promote hotel outlets with suggestive selling.
• Be aware of hotel fire safety procedures and routes.
