Job summary

Legends is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee banquet setup and breakdown, ensuring guests receive the best possible service. You will manage inventory, supervise staff, coordinate equipment movement, and uphold health and safety standards during all events.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (some college preferred) and strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and communicate clearly with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.
• Ability to perform under pressure for long periods while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to interact with coworkers to ensure service standards.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, etiquette and guest relations.
• English reading, writing and speaking skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set-up and clean-up for all banquet functions to ensure top service.
• Inventory control for equipment, small wares, disposables and beverages.
• Supervise housemen and stewarding during event setup and breakdown.
• Coordinate movement of beverages and equipment for events.
• Supervise food and beverage service and event room setup and clean-up.
• Assist with planning, organizing and execution of functions.
• Greet clients and respond to requests; communicate event details to staff.
• Lead roll call briefings to inform staff about event specifics.
• Ensure health standards by supervising cleaning tasks and safety policies.
