Job summary

The University of Virginia’s UVA Community Health is seeking a Supervisory Laboratory role to lead and align laboratory operations across Community Health laboratories. The incumbent will supervise staff, ensure quality control, and manage HR-related activities within the department.

The position requires a clinical laboratory science background, a NAACLS/AMT/MLS credentialing path, and at least 3 years of CLS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field.
• 3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• MLT Certification required upon hire; NAACLS/AMT/MLS certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of laboratory tests with quality control.
• Assist in orientation and training of staff on equipment and procedures.
• Oversee laboratory operations with HR responsibilities.
