Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Late Night Staff for part-time hours (up to 25 per week). The role focuses on providing a safe, engaging environment for teens to participate in open gym, sports, and activities after hours, guided by YMCA core values.

Qualifications

• Background checks required (WA Fair Chance Act).
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.
• Age: 21+ for Late Night staff; 18+ for younger roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months+ related experience preferred.
• Ability to guide youth and model positive behavior.
• Knowledge of program activities and related sports equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead teen activities, skill development, and social interaction.
• Create lesson plans for teen activities.
• Maintain program quality through evaluation (surveys, focus groups, youth voice).
• Provide safety and supervision for all Late Night participants.
