Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Teen Program Staff to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. This role provides supervision, leadership, and motivation for youth ages 13 to 19 within teen programs.

Responsibilities include organizing activities, instructing participants, ensuring a safe environment, and promoting teen leadership opportunities within the branch and community. Part-time role with evening Friday availability.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with youth ages 13–19 preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
• Pass background and reference checks as required by WA state law.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility to maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Organize activities and assist other staff as needed.
• Instruct participants in program activities and proper equipment use.
• Teach and demonstrate skills in a positive manner.
• Develop and facilitate teen leadership clubs and volunteer opportunities.
