Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Teen Program Coordinator for Pearl Street Family YMCA in Tacoma to support youth programs, plan Late Nite events, and mentor staff. You will help create welcoming spaces where teens connect, grow, and thrive.

This part-time role (up to 25 hours per week) offers meaningful work with teens, collaboration with the Youth & Teen Program Director, and opportunities for professional growth within a values-driven community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience in coordinating people or activities.
• Proficient with common office software and devices.
• Positive attitude with teens and diverse populations.
• Background checks and WA Fair Chance Act compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning staff interviews, trainings, meetings and teen events.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and new program ideas.
• Supervise and mentor part-time instructors and volunteers.
• Visit sites to ensure safety and YMCA standards.
• Assist with behavior management and inclusive environment.
• Support staff evaluations and provide feedback.
• Create staff schedules, rosters, and timekeeping to stay within budget.
