The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Late Night Staff Lead to join our team at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA in Gig Harbor, WA. The role focuses on leading staff and teens in the Late Nite Program, providing a positive environment for activities after hours, including open gym, basketball, swimming, and workouts.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, overseeing volunteers, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and experience with teens from diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and assist staff and participants in skill development, game play and social interaction.
• Teach sportsmanship and reinforce core YMCA values.
• Plan and/or lead Assemble Time.
• Oversee volunteers in the Late Night Program.
• Brief staff and volunteers on program plans.
• Deescalate situations professionally to ensure safety.
• Supervise late night staff and participants for safety.
