The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Late Night Staff Lead to join our team at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA in Gig Harbor, WA. The role focuses on leading staff and teens in the Late Nite Program, providing a positive environment for activities after hours, including open gym, basketball, swimming, and workouts.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, overseeing volunteers, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and experience with teens from diverse populations.

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Countiesis seeking a Late Night Staff Lead to join our team.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

As a Late Night Staff Lead, you will provide leadership and motivation for staff and teens in the Late Nite Program. Ensuring a positive environment for teens to participate in open gym, basketball, swimming, utilizing workout equipment, and various teen programs after hours at the YMCA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and assist staff and participants in skill development, game play and social interaction.
• Teach sportsmanship and use teachable moments to implement our core values.
• Plan and/or lead Assemble Time.
• Assist with overseeing volunteers who assist with Late Night Program.
• Provide support in briefing staff and volunteers on program plan.
• Deescalate situations in a professional manner to ensure program safety.
• Assist with the responsibility for Late Nite staff and participant supervision and safety.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 Years of Age.
• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• One year or more of related experience (preferred).
• Positive attitude and previous experience with teens and diverse populations.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred.
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day. Complete other online and in-person training as required.

Wage:

$17.13 to $18.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours:

Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
