Job summary

The Aviary Recovery Center in Missouri is hiring an Intake Coordinator for evenings and weekends to manage the front desk, handle phone triage, pre-registration, and verify insurance while coordinating with the admissions team.

You will conduct pre-admission assessments, interview clients and families, document activities in the CRM, and collaborate with referral sources to ensure timely admissions; a high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• One or more years' experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Experience in intake, referral, treatment planning and external communication helpful.
• CPR certification is required; first aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews clients and families to meet intake criteria.
• Reviews prospective admissions against criteria, policies, procedures.
• Generates and guides discussions with referral sources for client support.
• Assesses family needs for mediation and determines resources to contact.
• Decides which Interventionist and facility to recommend and travel.
• Works with other departments and external parties for timely admissions.
• Documents daily activities in the CRM and maintains admissions records.
• Utilizes resources to verify benefits for all private insurance admissions.
• Screens calls and sets up transportation for admission.
• Maintains a waiting list and stays in contact with potential candidates.
