The Washington Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part-time Custodian & Maintenance Coordinator to work nights and weekends in Olympia, WA. This role collaborates with the Lead Custodian and Facilities Coordinator to keep the venue clean, safe, and ready for events.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, setting up furniture, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining supplies while complying with safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the building and surroundings to industry and venue standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and washing.
• Pick up litter in the venue and grounds.
• Apply cleaning chemicals safely and follow safety measures for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs, maintenance, and painting as authorized.
• Set and strike tables, chairs, and furniture used in events.
• Periodically inspect facilities to prevent injuries or damage.
• Ensure venue security and verify emergency equipment is maintained.
