Custodian and Maintenance Coordinator-PT Nights/Weekends
Position Summary:
The Washington Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part-time Custodian & Maintenance Coordinator. This position works directly with the Lead Custodian and Facilities Coordinator to create a healthy atmosphere, an essential role in maintaining the building and venue, while directly supporting the organization’s mission. This position reports to the Event Services Director.

Strong attention to detail and refined interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates must effectively manage multiple deadlines with consistent follow-through and maintain constructive relationships with staff, vendors, contractors, and public entities. The role requires the capacity to perform accurately in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. Initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are critical to success.
Educational Requirement:
A high school or GED is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $17.13 to $19.00 per hour. This position qualifies for the Center's SIMPLE IRA plan and matches 3% employer contribution as of January 1 each year upon meeting the minimum earnings requirement of $5,000 per year.
Required Certifications:Must be First Aid, CPR and defibrillator certified within one month of hire.
