Job summary

Jefferson Center Foundation Inc is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment and set up rooms for rental activities. Duties include cleaning offices, attending events, and handling routine waste disposal with evening hours after 5pm.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk/stand for extended periods, and pass a background check. Schedule ranges from 20 to 35 hours per week depending on events.

Qualifications

• Primarily nights and weekends; schedule varies based on event calendar.
• Must pass a background check.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to climb stairs as needed.
• Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, up to 35 hours depending on events.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
• Cleans tenant offices twice weekly, after 5pm.
• Cleans and disposes of trash; transports to designated areas.
• Reports maintenance concerns via work orders to Facility Manager.
• Removes dust and debris from high and low surfaces.
• Completes daily paperwork; assists with minor facility maintenance.
• Sets up rooms for rental activities.
• On-site for events; empties trash, ensures bathrooms stocked and clean.
• Adheres to safety procedures when using cleaning materials and equipment.
• Vacuuming, mopping floors, disinfecting, emptying trash, cleaning windows, dusting, changing bulbs, setting up tables.
