Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing staff, patient, physician and other departments; performs receptionist and clerical duties.
• Scans orders to Pharmacy and alerts nurse to STAT orders; tracks bed and PCS.
• Books appointments through central scheduling; ensures discharge disposition is entered.
• Prints, reviews unit reports; files charts and completes daily chart audits.
• Orders supplies and collaborates with Operations Supervisor to manage par levels and vendor orders.
• Maintains safety standards, privacy and compliance on unit.
• Functions as a preceptor and supports schedule flexibility on the unit.
• Communicates policy changes and ensures staff awareness.
• Ensures patient and family centered care and effective handoffs.
