Job summary

Pine Street Inn seeks a Residential Counselor to provide evening coverage and rounds at 123 Hamilton Street. You will assist tenants, monitor wellbeing, uphold rights, and enforce house rules while noting maintenance needs for proper follow-up.

You will contribute to crisis interventions and help create a safe, supportive living environment. Daytime trainings/meetings may be required, with strong emphasis on communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer literacy with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• College degree preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and strong written communication.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and substance use/mental health awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide evening presence with regular rounds in the building.
• Assist tenants, monitor wellness, and uphold tenants' rights and house rules.
• Note and report maintenance or housekeeping issues; escalate as needed.
• Respond to crises and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Attend daytime trainings and meetings as required by the role.
