Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a Weekend Daytime Residential Counselor for a Veterans-focused housing program at 6 Hartford Street, Dorchester. The role handles tenant support, safety monitoring, rounds, and daily tasks, including answering phones, logging interactions, and responding to emails.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, basic computer literacy, and experience in human services. Training is required; prior housing-first/low-barrier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Experience in human services or related work preferred.
• Experience with veterans is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with tenants and assist as needed.
• Monitor safety and perform regular rounds in the building.
• Maintain logs of tenant interactions and respond to inquiries by phone or email.
• Assist with activities of daily living and group activities when assigned.
• Participate in required trainings and support staff as needed.
• Assist with meals and maintain a respectful atmosphere.
