Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a Weekend Daytime Residential Counselor for a transitional housing program serving Veterans with a Housing First/Low Barrier approach. You will support tenants, monitor safety, and help maintain a respectful, empowering environment.

Duties include daily tasks such as answering phones, recording logs, and assisting with meals and ADL skills. The role emphasizes team collaboration, potential group activities, and flexibility to be reassigned as needed to support program

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Some prior training in human services or experience working in the field is required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and assist tenants in a transitional housing program for Veterans.
• Monitor safety and security, perform regular rounds, and maintain a log of tenant interactions.
• Answer phones, take messages, and respond to emails in a timely manner; participate in required trainings.
• Assist tenants with dinner meals and ADL skills; engage tenants in leisure activities and create a respectful environment.
• May run groups on the assigned shift; may be reassigned to another Pine Street Inn program as needed.
