Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to support shelter guests and staff. The role focuses on direct guest care, safety, and timely response to needs, while helping guests pursue housing and connect with community resources.

The position emphasizes data entry in HMIS and adherence to agency policies, with an emphasis on staying energized and focused under demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: MA driver’s license in good standing.
• Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience in the Human Services field is preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and mental illness is a plus.
• Knowledge of homelessness resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to shelter guests and maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to guests’ needs in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist in developing housing pathways and link guests to resources.
• Enter data into the HMIS system and document reports per policy.
• Make sound decisions and seek guidance from a supervisor when needed.
